A karambit or kerambit (Minangkabau language: Kurambiak or Karambiak) is a popular type of small, curved southeast Asian fighting knife.
It is used by Ali in the final fight sequence in Taken.

A Karambit is a distinctive Indonesian and Malaysian weapon and the finger hole in the handle makes it very difficult to disarm, which was evident in the fight scene. The karambit spelling is mostly used in the Philippines. In Western literature it is occasionally misspelled as "korambit".
